Creating safe and educated spaces to explore and discuss
Diversity, Inclusion, Anti-Racism and Racial Literacy.
With well over 20 years of experience in Teaching Dance and supporting learning, I have worked with a great number schools, companies and organisations across the country. These include Southampton City Council, SAINTS Foundation and The NHS Foundation Trust. I am very experienced in delivering a varied style of training and education to learners from KS1 to Adult.
Using my passion for education, especially in the area of diversity and inclusion, I have used my skills to deliver Black History Workshops through the arts, to lead presentations and guided discussion groups focusing on the importance of Equality, and as a Mother of 2 children, to discuss my understanding of the importance of representation. I enjoy working with people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds and beliefs and sharing information and discussion that will support us all on a journey of growth toward a fairer and more understanding community.
This the purpose of YOUbuntu, to offer a safe space to share and explore each other to better ourselves and to recognise the importance of keeping these discussions going all year round and not just during celebratory months.
